My Story
Blessings and Welcome!
I’m Dr. Candice—also known by my spiritual name, Oshunfunke—a licensed marriage and family therapist, certified sex therapist, board certified sexologist, tantric shaman, energetic, and intuitive healer. I am the founder of The Tantric MFT, a sacred practice devoted to heart-centered healing, spiritual embodiment, and the reclamation of sensual, sexual and emotional wholeness.From an early age, I was sensitive to spirit that came by way of whispers, shadows, dreams, and sensations. For years, I hid this connection out of fear and cultural shame. But after a series of divinations and spiritual encounters, I was called to embrace the truth of who I am: a healer, oracle, and bridge between the clinical and the mystical as well as the physical and spiritual world.
My journey into this work began with ancestral messages urging me to study African and Asian sexuality traditions. I learned that sexuality is not separate from spirit—it is a path to healing, liberation, and divine embodiment. This realization deepened as I studied energy medicine, Kemetic spirituality, Vedantic and Buddhist practices, shamanic traditions, and the heartwork integration system, where we access the soul through the heart and deep energetic presence. We learn how to access our heart/soul to truly express our divinity. We utilize sacred geometry to uplift our bloodline's past, present, and future (Source heart-associations.com, 2022). As a Black woman who has navigated uterine fibroids and womb trauma, I hold a deep commitment to supporting other women—especially Black women—in their healing journeys. I offer a sacred space for those carrying grief, intergenerational trauma, and disconnection from their bodies. I also support women in pregnancy and motherhood who are seeking deeper emotional, spiritual, and sensual healing.
My work also extends to men who are healing from emotional repression, spiritual disconnection, and issues related to patriarchy. I honor the sacred masculinity that allows vulnerability, sensuality, and self-expression. Witnessing men go into spiritual healing is one of the most profound aspects of my work. I also support couples in connecting not just sexually, but spiritually—where true intimacy unfolds. As a medical intuitive and oracle, I receive messages that support emotional, physical, and energetic healing. My work with plant medicine, intuitive readings, and ancestral reverence complements traditional therapeutic care and invites clients into a more holistic path to wellness.

My Approach
I practice Tantra through a shamanic lens rooted in African Indigenous spirituality and Ancient Egyptian Kemetic principles. This is an active, spirit-led, and primarily touchless form of Tantra that works with the chakras, the masculine and feminine energies, and the alignment of the spiritual and physical bodies. Sessions aim to release energetic blockages that contribute to emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual challenges.
I offer wombspace healing for women and ligam healing for men—both touch-free sessions that support the connection between the sexual centers and the heart. These sessions may assist with reproductive concerns, emotional release, and deeper self-awareness. I provide spiritual guidance and next steps for continued self-healing after each session.
My heartwork sessions are guided by the heart's own intelligence. Using subtle energy and intuitive direction, I support clearing, balancing, and energetic realignment. These sessions can be done remotely and may include past life regression, soul retrieval, or ancestral healing.
I also practice Usui Reiki, infused with intuitive and spiritual guidance. Inspired by my dear friend and Kemetic Reiki practitioner Crystal who transitioned, my Reiki sessions often integrate shamanic elements such as crystals, mantras and messages from Spirit.
In addition, I offer spiritual readings, through embodied connection to Spirit— and, when guided, the use of oracle cards. Each session becomes a sacred communion of truth, alignment, and renewal, guiding seekers back to the wholeness and wisdom of their higher self. Additionally, as a medical intuitive, I receive insight about physical, emotional, and energetic imbalances, which can help guide your healing path.chakra cleansing, intuitive coaching, and sex coaching (guiding people through talk and somatic work addressing sexual issues and concerns in their life). My background as a licensed therapist and certified sex therapist supports deep emotional processing if needed during or after sessions.
Other modalities I incorporate include Spring Forest Qigong and energy work related to spinal alignment.
